Sound Waves and Acoustics

How Are Sound Waves Created?

Picture
When you move or do anything, you cause vibrations. Much like a cell phone, the vibrations cause any surrounding objects to vibrate, also. This causes a wave, which ripples on and on depending on how loud or soft a noise is. The distance an object travels to create a noise is called amplitude. If a noise has enough amplitude, it will travel until it reaches the human ear, which interprets the waves as sound. This happens because the waves vibrate our ear drum.
